With heavy hearts and profound love, the family of Willie Earl Reese announces his peaceful transition on Monday, July 21, 2025. Surrounded by his devoted family, he departed this life leaving behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and selfless love.

Born on January 5, 1942, in Minter, Alabama, Willie Earl was the beloved son of the late Geraldine Ball and Robert Reese. His life was a testament to unwavering dedication—as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He lived a life rooted in service, guided by deep faith, and sustained by deep love for family and community.

He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn S. Reese, and his devoted children Patricia Scott Moten (Glenn) of Selma, Alabama; Debra Scott Brown (Winfred) of Marietta, Georgia; Michael O. Rivers, Sr. (Valeria) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Andrea Jackson (Patrick) of Austell, Georgia; and Kamika Reese Singleton (Adrian) of Montgomery, Alabama. He was a proud grandfather to Winfred (Kwame) Brown, Byron O. Moten, Devan (Kimani) Brown, Michael Rivers II, Shalisa Brown, Brittany Reese, Cameron "CJ" Reese (Brittany), and Kyle Robert Reese. He was also a doting great-grandfather to MacKenzie Brown, Kaiden Brown, Chloe Brown, Anuli Rivers-Wair, Michael O. Rivers III, Caihley Rivers, and Samiyah Gamble. His brother, Willie Ed Reese; sister, Bernadeen Slay (Billie Joe); brother-in-law, Tyrone Smith (Regina) of Eufaula; sisters-in-law, Sarah Woods and Mamie Stevens of Selma; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends will also treasure his memory.
