Tyesha Nicole Maul was born April 13, 2002, to Evelyn Maul and Tyrone Knight in Selma, Alabama. At an early age, Tyesha accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and became a member of Freedom Baptist Church under the leadership of Revered James A. Spicer, Sr. Tyesha received her education at Selma High School, class of 2020. Tyesha was an amazing mother, daughter, sister, and friend.
Tyesha peacefully closed her eyes in eternal rest on Monday, March 31, 2025 at Baptist Medical Center South surrounded by her loving family.
Tyesha was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Margaret Maul and Lillie Knight, her uncles, Joseph Maul and James Maul; and nephew Christopher Johnson. Their spirits now embrace her in eternal peace.
Tyesha is survived by her two cherished sons, Ja'Kayden Maul and Ca'Marion Mitchell, both of Selma, AL. She leaves behind her devoted mother Evelyn Maul and stepfather Richard Swift of Selma, and her father Tyrone Knight of Cleveland, OH. Her siblings, Keria Maul (Brodderick Williams) of Selma, AL, Tiffany Knight, Tyeasha Knight Belk, and Tyrone Knight, Jr. all of Cleveland, OH, along with her nieces Skylar Shaw, Keiomi Williams, Za'Niyah Williams, Alezondra Knight, Christianna Johnson, Zianna Jackson, and Julianna Knight, and nephews Zaytoven Williams, Di'Maggio Knight, Jeremiah Johnson, and Elijah Winfree will forever cherish her memory.
Her loving aunts, Evelyn Calhoun, Mary Short of Selma, AL and Bonnie Rivers of Youngstown, OH, her uncles Charles Maul, Reginald Maul, Reginald E. Browder, Willie E. Browder, Earl Goldsby, Randell Browder, all of Selma, AL, provided her with unwavering support and love throughout her life. Tyesha also shared special bonds with her stepsisters Tiesha Russell and Shakita Swift, and stepbrothers Cordell Dudley (Veronica) and Carlos Watts, all of Selma, AL.
A very special friend, Tyknia Davis of Selma, along with best friends Jocelyn Marshall, Adreannia Smith, Terrius Smith, and Okeemia Lewis were constant sources of companionship and laughter. Tyesha's godmother, Marion Phillips, and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends will continue to honor her life and legacy.
Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 1:00PM from the Christian Grace Apostolic Church with James Marshall, officiating. Burial will follow in the Lorenzo Harrison Memorial Gardens with Aubrey Larkin's Lewis Brother Funeral Home serving with excellence through professional service. Ms. Maul will lie in repose one hour prior to the funeral hour at the church.
