Timothy Cole was born on May 3, 1959, in Selma, Alabama to the late A.J. Anderson and Shirley Ann Cole.  A lifelong resident of Dallas County, he received his education through the Selma City School System and attended West Trinty Baptist Church during his childhood.

Tim was known throughout the community for his unwavering dedication, generosity, and willingness to serve others.  He touched countless lives through his selfless contributions and was always ready to lend a helping hand.  No task was ever too big or too small.  Whenever someone needed assistance, Tim was often the first person they called.

A man of many talents, Tim possessed a remarkable ability to fix almost anything.  Whether creating DVD’s, selling automobiles, fixing televisions, or helping friends and family move furniture, he approached every challenge with confidence and skill.  He was truly a “jack of all trades” and took great pride in using his gifts to help others.

Tim was also known for his outspoken personality, quick wit, and ability to bring to life to any gathering.  There was never a dull moment when he was around, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline “Munchie” Walton Cole; his father, A.J. Anderson; his mother, ShirleyAnn Cole; grandmother, Juanita C. Williams; his grandfather, James Hobdy; and his great-uncles, Nathaniel (Shirley) Cole and Richard (Essie Mae) Cole.

Tim leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Marcus D. Whitehurst of Atlanta, Georgia, and Shawn N. Cole of Selma, Alabama; one daughter, Kirsten T. Cole of Selma, Alabama; three sisters, Petrina “Trina” Anderson, Neekie Ellison, and Erica Matthews, and Erica Matthews; one brother, Anthony Anderson’ one aunt, Allie V. Williams of Selma, Alabama; and a host of beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever, treasure the memories they shared with him.  Though he has departed from this earthly life, Tim’s legacy of kindness, services, laughter, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
