Sylvia Diane Ross was born on July 21, 1971, in Selma, Alabama to the late Wille James Ross and Rosie Lee Lowe Ross. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined her membership with Macedonia Baptist Church where she served faithfully until death. 

She was educated in the Wilcox County School System. She was a member of the class of 1989 at Camden High School. She then went on to Wallace Community College in Selma, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wille James Ross and Rosie Lee Lowe Ross; one sister Missouri Ross.

Sylvia leaves to cherish her memories with two loving and devoted daughters: Za ’Netta Renae Ross and Codeshia Shanae Ross (Alberta, Al): two devoted grandchildren: Tadere O. White Jr, and Gabriel Valentino Ross (Alberta, Al); seven devoted sisters: Laura Mae Martin (Selma, Al) Mary Lee (Timothy) Houston (Fayetteville, NC) Rosa Mae ( James) Williams, Barbara Jean (Charlie) Moore, Juanita Ross ( All of Alberta, Al) Willie Mae Ross and Christine Ross (Millbrook, Al) four nieces: Stephanie Martin (Atlanta, Ga) Anita Martin ( Selma, Al), devoted niece: Chelsea Ross ( Prattville, Al) , Jasmine Ross (Mobile, Al); two nephews: Timothy Houston Jr. ( Fayetteville, NC) and Juwan Ross ( Tuscaloosa, Al) three great nieces and two great nephews: Zy’ Keria Martin, Devontay Martin, Robreanna Martin,Anitra Martin, and Jaidyn Rogers; three Godchildren: Jasmine Ross, Andrelecia Brooks, Courtney Haynes; Four devoted friends: Katrina Jackson, Towanda Taite, Willa Phillips,and Claudine Patterson. One loving and devoted cousin: Louise Turner. A host of numerous cousins and friends.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 2:00PM from the Macedonia Baptist Church of Gastonburg, AL  with Pastor Robert J. Mack, Officiating.  Interment will follow in the Churchyard cemetery with Aubrey Larkin's Lewis Brothers Funeral Home serving with excellence through professional service.
