Rosetta Smith Davis was born to the late Paralee Burks and James Cleveland, Sr. on July 23, 1962. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Lily Grove Baptist Church. Where she remained a member until her death. Rosetta answered the call to reward on May 30, 2026.
Rosetta completed Wallace Community College with a certificate in Cosmetology. She was an employee of American Apparel for 26 years. She ventured out and started her own cleaning service, “It’s A Family Affair”, in which she serviced Selma Housing Authority working with her sister Marcia and niece Lulisha. Her passion remained Cosmetology. She had her faithful clients that remained with her to include her daughter and grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Paralee Burks, James Cleveland, Sr., aunts, uncles, and other relatives.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories; her loving husband of 21 years, Donald Davis; a devoted daughter: Regina White (Willie), of Millbrook, AL. Her pride and joy grandsons: Willie Warren, Jr. and Kayden Warren of Millbrook, AL; brothers: Arthur (Gussie) Summers, Jesse Smith, John Kennedy Smith, Harry (Deloise) Smith, David Cleveland, Jamelo (Minnie) Cleveland, Jr., Reggie (Umit) Hardy, and Eric (Kim) Cleveland; sisters: Marcia Smith, Maxine Caver, and Debra Cleveland-Miree; brothers-in-law: Dexter (Sarah) Anderson, and John Reese, Ezell Davis Sr.; sisters-in-law: Lily Mae Anderson, Deloise (Cleveland) Bronson, Alfreda (John) Smiley, Charlene (Freddy) Walton, and Theodora Hatcher; Aunts: Roberta Smith and Corine Holmes; special cousins: Melisa and Kamaria Yancey; a devoted niece: Lulisha Lofton; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 11:00AM from the Lily Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Christopher Wright, officiating. Burial will follow in the Churchyard cemetery with Aubrey Larkin's Lewis Brothers Funeral Home serving with excellence through professional service. Mrs. Davis will lie in repose one hour prior to the service.
