Roosevelt Jones, Sr.

Roosevelt Jones, Sr., was born August 15, 1966, to the late Rosa Lee Jones and Roosevelt Watts. He departed this life on August 30, 2025. He was previously married and that union was blessed with Roosevelt Jones, Jr. Later he married Pauline Padgett-Jones, who brought her daughter Patrice Padgett to the union. Together they shared years of love and companionship.

Roosevelt worked as professional truck driver and was passionate about cars, motorcycles, eating a good steak, and Alabama Football.  Roosevelt was preceded in death by his mother and
father, grandmothers Willie Riddle Jones (Samuel), Eliza Ann Jackson; sisters Margaret Morgan and Cynthia Taylor; and Uncle Clyde (Sandra) Rand.  Roosevelt is survived by sons Roosevelt Jones Jr. and Patrick Reese; daughter Taylor Jones; brothers Roger Watts and Domineke (Lashondra) Taylori; sisters Sherri (Tommy) Fields, Bettie (Roger) Yates, Carrie (Joseph) Campbell, and Dr. Wanda Denise Jones; four (4) grandchildren, in-laws and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.Mr. Roosevelt Jones, Sr, 59, of Selma, AL passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 11:00AM from Ellwood Community Church where Gary L. Crum serves as Pastor and Pastor John E. Grayson, will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Serenity Memorial Gardens with Aubrey Larkin's Lewis Brothers Funeral Home serving with excellence through professional service.
