Martha L. White, a devoted sister and cherished friend, departed this world on January 28, 2026, at the age of 77. Throughout her life, she demonstrated unwavering dedication and resilience, attributes that defined her in the eyes of those who knew her.
Born on October 2, 1948, Martha spent much of her life working diligently as a seamstress, where her keen attention to detail and commitment to quality touched many lives. Her work was more than just a profession; it was a testament to her steadfast nature and her ability to create beauty through perseverance and skill.
Martha was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willie White, as well as her parents, Jessie and Altha Badie. She also reunites with her sister Dorothy Jackson, her brothers Charlieluster, Jessie Jr., James, Isiah, Jimmy, and Thomas Earl, and her nephew Thomas Lashawn Badie. Each of these individuals held a special place in her heart, and their memories were treasures she carried with her throughout her life.
Those who survive her will continue to hold her spirit close. Her brother, Rev. Bernard Badie, and sisters Sarah (Allen), Betty (Otis), and Selinia (Frank) remain to carry forward her legacy. Additionally, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends will remember Martha’s kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to family and community.
Martha’s life serves as an inspiration to all who knew her. Her journey was marked by hard work, love, and a quiet strength, leaving a profound impact on everyone she encountered. Her legacy will endure in the hearts and minds of those who had the privilege to share in her life.
