Margaret Ann Watts Crum, departed this life on August 28, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on July 14, 1964, in Tyler, Alabama, Margaret's journey was one of love, dedication, and unwavering commitment to her family and community.

Margaret was the cherished daughter of Hattie Mae Watts and Wilson Hester. She was a proud graduate of Southside High School, class of 1982, where she began forming the values of perseverance and compassion that would guide her throughout her life.

Her career as a paraprofessional at Brantley Elementary School was marked by her genuine passion for education and nurturing young minds. Margaret also found great joy in serving as an after-school and summer school tutor, where her warmth and kindness left lasting impressions on countless children. Her dedication to uplifting and empowering every student she encountered is a testament to her generous spirit and tireless devotion to making a difference.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers James, Curtis, and George Watts, Margaret is now reunited with them, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and inspiration.

Margaret's legacy continues through her husband, Ivan Crum, and her beloved daughters, Tiffany Crum and Chan'tel (Cameron) Walker and her beloved son Ein Crum, Sr. She was a devoted grandmother to nine grandchildren: Ashton Shelton, Shanyia Bonner, Aarron Bonner, Ein Crum, Jr., Madisyn Crum, Amari Cowan, Alijah Cowan, Amir Cowan, and Ace'ion Jackson.Her sisters:  Gloria Watts and Bessie Watts; Her brothers: albert (Bernetta) Watts, Johnny Watts, Clifford Watts, Arthur Hester, Hessial Hester, and Carl Hester.   Each of them will carry forward her memory and the lessons she imparted.

Though she has left this world, Margaret Ann Watts Crum's indomitable spirit and boundless love continue to illuminate the lives of those fortunate enough to have known her. Her memory will forever remain a beacon of light and hope to her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 1:00PM from St. Paul Methodist Church of Selma, AL with Pastor Joseph Coleman, Jr, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Serenity Memorial Gardens with Aubrey Larkin's Lewis Brothers Funeral Home serving with excellence through professional service.
