Born on October 28, 1944, in Selma, Alabama, to the union of Mr. John Boykin, Sr. and Mrs. Tanzie Gould Boykin, Lucinda was a beacon of strength and compassion from her earliest days. She was a proud student of R.B. Hudson High School, where she laid the foundation for a life dedicated to hard work and selfless giving.
Lucinda devoted over 52 years of her life as a domestic worker, a role in which she touched many lives with her kindness and unwavering work ethic. Beyond her professional life, she found joy in reading and cherished every moment spent with her beloved grandchildren. Her generous spirit extended to the broader community, where she was a philanthropist known for her boundless generosity and empathy.
She was married to her devoted husband, Mr. Theo "Jim" Smart, for over 56 years, a partnership filled with love and mutual support. Together, they built a beautiful family and life.
