Julia Mae Drain was born on October 5, 1952, in Orrville, Alabama, to the late David Wright and Queenie Wright Brown. Julia departed this life peacefully in her home surrounded by family on
December 22, 2025. She accepted Christ at a young age and joined First Baptist Church in Orrville, Alabama. She attended Keith High School in Orrville, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her father, David Wright; her mother, Queenie Wright Brown; brothers, Joseph Wright, David Wright Jr., and Phillip Morris Matthews; and her sisters, Rebecca
Wright Clark Simpson, and Martha Johnson.
Julia leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Roger Drain of Detroit, MI; three sons, Roger Drain of Marion Junction, AL, David (Celestine) Drain of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Anthony Taylor
of Florida; two daughters, Veronica Drain of Marion Junction, AL and Crystal Drain of Millbrook, AL; one brother, Clemon (Rosie) Wright of Selma, AL; five sisters, Mary Lou Wright
of Selma, AL, Betty Wright of Marion Junction, AL, Rose Graves of Selma, AL, Mary Morgan of Uniontown, AL, and Janice Franklin of Birmingham, AL. She also leaves a host of
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends to cherish her memories. A special thanks to her devoted friends, Rebecca Kimbrough, Gussie Ann Tabb, and Maryann
Griffin for their unwavering support.
Graveside services have been scheduled for Saturday, January 3, 2026 from the John The Baptist Churchyard Cemetery with Aubrey Larkin's Lewis Brothers Funeral Home serving with excellence through professional service.
