In loving memory of Mr. Joseph Woods born in Dallas County, August 26, 1960 to the late Mr. Lucian Woods Sr. and Mrs. Ammie Woods.
Joseph confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Little Canaan Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of the late S.B. Acoff. He departed life on Tuesday March 17, 2026 at Arabella Health and Wellness in Selma, Alabama.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted and caring mother: Ammie Woods of Selma, Alabama; two sons, Daryl (Melody) Struggs, Jeffery Struggs of Selma, and a loving granddaughter Trachelle Gary of Selma, AL. two brothers: Lewis Scott and David (Rosetta) Woods of Birmingham, Alabama; a host of nieces and nephews: Kenny, Amy, Richard Scott, Shermain Woods, Kalonji (Ki’asia) Woods all of Boston, Massachusetts, Darrin(Julia) Woods of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Micheal (Sandra) Moore of Colorado Springs, CO, Fanekka Woods of Birmingham, AL Tamika(Jermaine) Suggs, Teashia Woods, Latesha Woods, and Lula Woods of Selma, AL. Joseph was preceded in death by his father: Lucian Woods, Sr: four sisters: Josephine Woods Moore,
Easter Mae Pullom, Georgia Lattimore, and Mary Ann Woods: three brothers: Otis, Lucius and Napoleon Woods: two nephews: Lucius and Joe Woods: two nieces: Betty and Danyal Woods.
Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 12 Noon from the Little Canaan Primitive Baptist Church with Pastor Stanley Hall, officiating. Burial will follow in the Lorenzo Harrison Memorial Gardens with Aubrey Larkin's Lewis Brothers Funeral Home serving with excellence through professional service. Mr. Woods will lie in repose one hour prior to the funeral hour at the church.
