Mrs. Johnnie Mae Alexander, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She had a heart of gold and gave from her heart expecting nothing in return and always taught us it is best to given than to receive. Johnnie Mae left to be with the Lord on March 16, 2026 at the age of 79.
Johnnie Mae is preceded in death by her parents; John Boykin, Sr, and Tanzie Gould Boykin; her brothers: John Boykin, Jr. and Roosevelt Boykin and a sister: Lucinda Boykin Smart.
She leaves to cherish her wonderful memories: her devoted husband, William Lee Alexander, Sr., sisters-in-law, Mary Alexander and Rosalie Boykin; brothers-in-law, W. D. Alexander and Theo Smart; Children: William Alexander, Jr., Clora Alexander, Billy (Beranda) Alexander, and Betty Alexander; Grandchildren: William Alexander Ill, Daryle Smith, Jr., Eddie Lee Atkins Ill, Tybrena Alexander, Ty'Darrius Alexander, LeRon Robinson, Brian Robinson, Camron Robinson, Chloe Alexander, Chynnia Alexander; Great Grandchildren: Eliana Jo Smith, Malea Kathryn Smith & Kehlani Smith; Special friends: Mrs. Bennie Ruth Crenshaw, Mrs. Evelyn Walker and Mrs. Zelma Sims.
Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 1:00PM from the Aubrey Larkin's Lewis Brothers Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Pineview Memory Gardens with Aubrey Larkin's Lewis Brothers Funeral Home serving with excellence through professional service.
