Gregory B. Anderson was born on December 6, 1964 to Ms. Etta A. Anderson & Joe Brown Sr. in Selma, Alabama. He confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Selmont Baptist Church. He was a proud graduate of Southside High School Class of 1983.
He transitioned to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 5:04 p.m. at Baptist South Hospital. He was surrounded by family.
Greg loved people especially his family & close friends. Working on cars was one of his passions.
Greg was preceded in death by his mother: Etta Anderson; Father: Joe Brown Sr.; Grandmother: Annie Mary Stewart; Grandfather: Herbert Stewart; Brothers: Cedric Anderson, Arthur Lee Brown, Tommy Grayson and Lindsey Brown, and one Sister: Lula Mae Morgan.
Greg leaves to cherish his memories his sons: Gerade Shanks, who was loving, caring, and devoted to his father, Lamarrius Shaw; a bonus daughter, Shakedra Shanks; two grandkids: Khaleah Shanks & Jaide Shanks; three bonus kids: Rodriguez Broadnax, Raquez Broadnax & Desiree McMillan; ten Sisters: Jacqueline Harris who was very devoted and loving to her brother; Willie Ann Smith, Lee Ann Brown, Catherine (Eugene) Perry, Pauline King, Annette Heard, Bessie (Dewight) Warren, Elizabeth Grayson, Vivian Thomas, and Sabrina Harris; Brothers: Chester Anderson, James Brown, Joe (Fannie) Brown Jr., Earnest Grayson, Watt (Emma) Grayson, Allen (Patricia) Grayson and Henry Eaton; one Aunt: Emma Petterson; a special niece, Tiffany (Henry) Stallworth; a special nephew, Travis Anderson; a special cousin, Brenda Page; special friends/extended family, Julius & George Cooper Jr., Bruce & Ricky Perkins, Lemarkus Snow (Snow) & a host of nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
Graveside services have been scheduled for Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 11:00AM from Miller Memorial Gardens with Aubrey Larkin's Lewis Brothers Funeral Home serving with excellence through professional service.
