Mr. Eric D. Muse, 44, of Orrville, Alabama, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. He was born on October 9, 1980, to Catherine Thomas (Levi Thomas, Sr.) and the late Willie James Muse.
Eric attended Keith High School in Orrville, Alabama, where he made lasting friendships and began developing the hard-working spirit he was known for. A man of great skill and strong hands, Eric worked as a craftsman and construction worker, building not only with tools, but with heart. He loved gardening, fishing, creating, and anything that allowed him to bring joy throgh his hands and creativity.
Eric’s life was filled with love. He shared a devoted and loving bond with his signifcant other, Ms. Eulalia Adams, and together they built a life anchored in mutual respect and companionship. He was a proud and loving father to his children: Matavious Hunter and Tatiyana Archer Must, and a joyful grandfather to Ty’Karter Lee Rome, though their time together was only known in spirit. He was prceded in death by his father Willie James Muse, maternal grandparents Annie Mae Hatcher and James Hayes, and paternal grandparents Willie James Muse, Sr. and Lizzie Scott.
Eric’s memory is cherished by his loving mother, Catherine Thomas and father figure Levi Thomas, Sr., and his siblings: Cedric (Misty) Sanders, Derrick Muse, Antiwan Thomas, Deandre (Angela Coleman) Muse, Joshua (Lakia) Thomas, Levi (Tamia Sanders) Thomas, Jr., Lovell Thomas, Jebreel Young Grays, Joshua Muse, Jarius Sanders, and Georome Mccreary. His sisters Ebony Hatcher (Antino, Sr.) King, Taisa Muse, Millie (Alexander) Thomas, Jessica Muse, Lovett Plump, and Ashley Muse. Cousins/Sisters Brittney McMillian and Danielle McMillian.
Eric is also remembered by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, and community members who loved and respected him dearly. Eric’s life was one of service, joy, and love. He made the world a little brighter with his smile and his presence, and though his time here was brief, the impact he made will last forever.
Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 12:30pm from First Baptist Church of Orrville with the Reverend Curtis Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Prosperity Cemetery in Orrville with Aubrey Larkin's Lewis Brothers Funeral Home serving with excellence through professional service. Mr. Muse will lie in repose one hour prior to the funeral hour at the church.
