Sister Dianne Bennett was born on April 26, 1960. She was the youngest of ten(10) children born to Mr. Millard Bennett, Sr. and Mrs. Anna Liza Tabb Bennett, who preceded her in death.
She accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She received her education from Keith High School. Dianne attended Wallace Community College Selma where she studied cosmetology and became a hairstylist.
Dianne was a faithful member of Mt. Zion until her health failed. She served as the chairmwoman of the Program and Food Committees. She participated on many church programs with subject select papers. She also was a daily encourager with scriptures on Facebook.
Two brothers preceded Dianne in death: Deacon Millard Bennett, Jr. of Selma, AL and Brother Matthew Bennett of Miami, FL and one sister, Martha Lee Coachman of Miami, FL.
Dianne leaves to cherish her memories; Brothers; Pastor George (Minister Margaret) Bennett, Sr., Pastor Eugene (Gracie) Bennett, Sr., both of Selma, AL, Deacon Earnest (Janet) Bennett, Sr., of Marion Junction, AL. Sisters; Mary E. Fails, Nancy Sanders both of Selma, AL, and Barbara J. and a very special brother-in-law Deacon Eddie Brooks, Jr., of Uniontown, AL. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Three very special friends; Lucille Cole, Brenda Owens, and Edgar Flanagan.
Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 12:00PM from the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Marion Jct., AL. Burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery with Aubrey Larkin's Lewis Brothers Funeral Home of Selma, AL serving with excellence through professional service. Ms. Bennett will lie in repose, an hour prior to service.
