Weaver
Mr. Louis Willie Weaver was born December 18, 1933, to the late Thomas Weaver and Willie Emma Weaver Hall. Louis Willie Weaver confessed Christ at an early age and joined Fig Tree Baptist Church in Autaugaville, AL. He later joined Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of Bishop R. L. Patterson where he was a faithful member and later served as chairman of the Deacon Board.
Louis was educated at Gardner’s Hall in Burnsville, AL, taught under Professor Roundtree. He began working at American Candy Company at the age of 16 where he was a diligent and dedicated employee. He retired from American Candy Company in 2002 where he worked for 50 years and 5 months.
Louis was a steward for the Lord, and he was a devoted Deacon at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church. His faith wasn’t something he just talked about, it was something he lived. He lived with a quiet kind of devotion. The kind that showed up in the everyday moments in his sacrifices, in his consistency, and willingness to help others and in the love, he poured into the people God placed in his life. He ran his race with faith. He finished his work with purpose. He was a man who honored God not only with words, but with his life. A life of stewardship. A life of faith. A life that pointed back to the Lord.
Louis loved and cherished his daughters. Caring for and raising them after the death of his wife, their mother Annie. Anyone who knows the Weaver family can attest to the bond and love that they shared. Simply put, he adored his daughters.
Louis also shared a special bond with his only grandchild, Terrian Marquis Lewis whom he loved dearly. He loved his family, maintaining a special relationship with his nieces and nephews, Robert Blackmon Jr, Rausline Blackmon, Valerie Godwin, Anita Johnson, Anthony Godwin, Gwendolyn Allen, Charlene Mahan, Valerie Likely, and Monique Allen Smith and the late Mary Louise Blackmon, Linda Hornbuckle and Sandra Owens.
