Cleveland Earl (Mane) Taylor, 60, of Selma, Alabama, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025 at Prattville Baptist Health Hospital. A celebration of life service will be held at House of Prayer Christian Church Selma, Al on October 4, 2025 at 11am. Followed by a balloon release at the Edmund Pettus Bridge at 12pm.
Born in Selma, Al on December 18, 1964, Cleveland graduated from Keith High School in Orville, Al. He spent 40 plus years as a mechanic and musician. He enjoyed playing several instruments such as the keyboard, guitar, singing & dancing along with his brother William King.
Cleveland was preceded in death by his parents, Juanita Jones, and Willie Earl (Cigar) Taylor. Brothers; Cedric, Jason, William, and Robert. Sisters; Linda (Honey), Gloria, Brenda, and Shirley. He is survived by his children Jaqueline Denise and Prince Earl, 3 Grandchildren, Cornelius (CJ), Caydence (Cady), and Jacie. Brothers; Eddie, Marquise, Willie (Lashauna), and Wayne, Sisters; Lola, Gayla, Patricia, Gwendolyn, Lisa (Head), Vivian, Gwen (Isaac), Sharon, Lillie, Lena, and Inetta. A special niece Kysha as well as a host of Uncles, Aunties, Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.
Cleveland will be remembered for being the life of the party, his caring acts towards his family and friends, and being able to fix anything! His laughter and knowledge were gifts to everyone who knew him and he will truly be missed.
Friends and family are invited to House of Prayer Christian Church (215 Selmont Avenue Selma, Al 36701) at 11am on October 4, 2025 for the ceremony, followed by a balloon release at the foot of the Edmund Pettus bridge at 12pm.
Special thanks to Cleveland’s loved ones that helped take care of him during his last days; Inetta, Desmicia, Cj, Lashauna, and Kairy. Also, a special thanks to House of Prayer Christian Church, Aubrey Larkin's Lewis Brothers Funeral Home, and Prattville Baptist Hospital’s (In-Patient Hospice unit).
