Callie M. Menniefield, 81, of Selma, Alabama passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025. She was born on October 12, 1943, in Selma, Alabama. She lived a life full of love, faith, and devotion to her family.
Callie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marion Menniefield; her mother, Callie Pettway Murray; her father, William Murray; and her daughter Herniece Miller.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories through two daughters, Tijuanja (Dwayne) Wilson and Terri (Jermaine) Anderson; three sons, William (Shelia) Miller, Jerome (Mary) Miller, Sr., and Nathaniel (Meoki) Miller. She also leaves behind her sister, Doris (Samuel) Moultrie, and her uncle Jerry (Josephine) Murray, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly.
To continue her legacy, Callie is survived by her grandchildren: Vatasha Legg, Patrice Miller, Maurika Harris, Jasmine Anderson, Jenna Anderson, Ja’Siya Sharpe, Nikki Miller, Jerome (Tamika) Miller, DiAndre Miller, Fredrick Wilson, as well as 17 great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.
In addition to her family, Callie held a special place in her heart for many dead friends whom she loved deeply, and who stood by her with love, laughter, and companionship throughout her life.
Callie will always be remembered for her kind heart, her wisdom, and her unwavering love for her family and friends. Her presence brought joy to everyone who knew her, and her memory will live on through the many lives she touched. Though she has departed this earthly life, her love and legacy will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 12:00PM from the Morning Star Baptist Church with the Reverend Cockrell officiating. Burial will follow in Serenity Memorial Gardens with Aubrey Larkin's Lewis Brothers Funeral Home of Selma serving with excellence through professional service.
