Billie Rose Cosby was born September 7, 1941 in Selma, Alabama to the late Queen Ester Peeples Simpson. Our precious angel of God has received her wings on May 24, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
She is preceded in death by two sisters: Bertha Mae Peeples and Thomasine Simpson Morton; two brothers Jimmy Simpson and Johnny Simpson; her loving husband Mr. Eugene Cosby whom she loved and enjoyed many years of marriage.
Billie Rose supervised a custodial team at the Dallas County Courthouse. She also worked as a private care provider part-time. She loved cooking, cleaning, shopping, and walking. She was a loyal member of Second Missionary Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish her fondest memories four daughters, Diane McGee of Florida, Shirley (Ollie) James of Selma, AL, Jacqueline (Irvin) Neeley of Selma, AL, and Rosa Livers of Georgia; one son Jimmie (Natasha) Simpson of Florida. She also leaves 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral service has been scheduled for Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 11:00AM from El Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Trenton Pressley, officiating. Burial will follow in the Serenity Memorial Gardens with Aubrey Larkin's Lewis Brothers Funeral Home serving with excellence through professional service.
