Betty Pearl Fitts

Elder Betty Pear Fitts was born on July 18, 1946 to the late Mr. Lawrence and Mrs. Ola Bell Fitts in Selma, AL.  She was the fourth of 9 daughters from that union.  She was a graduate of R.B. Hudson High School, Class of 1965.

She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Rhodes Chapel C.P. Church, where she was a faithful and dedicated member.  Betty was a loving, kind, generous, and supportive mother; a person who could make you laugh and put you at ease.  She was just a good person, and she will surely be missed.

On  Monday, September 1, 2025 Betty was called home.  She was preceded in death by her son Lawrence Fitts, her parents Lawrence and Ola Bell Fitts; and her siblings Joann Craig, Annie Pearl Whitaker, and Gertie Mae Carter.

Betty leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Rhonda (Christopher) Magee of Warner Robbins, Georgia; and two sons Quentin Fitts of Selma, Alabama, Robbie (Floryce) Fitts of Montgomery, Alabama; two special children, Tonya (MatthewO Williams and Christopher (Rajanisa) Watson both of Mobile, Alabama; 4 grandchildren, six siblings: Alberta Sanders, Olla (James) Moore, Barbara J. Moore, Marilyn M. (Walter)Marsette, Gwendolyn (Daniel) Jackson all of Selma, Alabama, and Shiley Howard of Atlanta, Georgia, One uncle Willie L. (Julia) Fitts of Marion Junction, Alabama.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 12:00PM from Gospel Tabernacle Church of God In Christ  of Selma, AL where Pastor John E. Grayson serves as pastor and the Reverend Hodtric Robinson will officiate  Burial will follow in the Pineview Memory Gardens with Aubrey Larkin's Lewis Brothers Funeral Home serving with excellence through professional service.
