Arthur Earl Finley, affectionately known to many as "Pop-Tart" and "The Fin," passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025, in Selma, Alabama, at the age of 67. Born on January 3, 1958, in Texas, Arthur lived a life full of warmth, laughter, and dedication.
Arthur was a beloved electrician with a career spanning over 35 years. He dedicated his professional life to Southern Electric and City Electric, where he was not only admired for his skillful craftsmanship but also cherished for his good-natured spirit and infectious humor.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that touched all who knew him. Arthur had an enormous sense of humor that brightened every room he entered, and his presence left a lasting impression of joy and happiness.
Arthur is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. George Washington and Marie Finley; his loving spouse, Janet Finley; granddaughter, Kera Grace Carlee; and brothers, George Finley, Wayne Mills, and Gerald Mills.
He is survived by his devoted daughters, Carmen Finley and Brittney Finley; grandchildren Devon Kane Bowen, Kelsey Long, Will Bowen, Wesley Bowen, Alley Bowen, and Bradley Finley; and his sisters, Gretcheal "Butch" Wiggins, Georgeanna (Mike) Massey, Delorise Finley, and Jackie (Tim) Ferrell. He will be dearly missed by his beloved dogs, Wezzie and Cowboy, as well as by countless friends from the Blue House and Pond, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Though Arthur's physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit and laughter will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. May we carry forward the joy and love he so generously shared.
A memorial service has been scheduled for Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 11:30AM from the Restoration Place Church, with Pastor Jon Chappelle, officiating. Final arrangements are entrusted to Aubrey Larkin's Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.
